10. Examples of digital journalism teaching

The University of North Carolina (http://unc.edu/). The School of Journalism and Mass Communication offers an online master’s degree that focuses on interactive media, the Internet and digital economics, addressing issues that are reshaping journalism and mass communication (http://matc.jomc.unc.edu/). They also have a graduate level online education programme (http://www.jomc.unc.edu/academics/graduate-studies/certificate-technology-and-communication-0) which lasts three semesters and consists of the courses, Writing for Digital Media, Visual Communication and Multimedia, and Digital Data and Analytics. The programme gives the participants a certificate in Technology and Communication and is aimed at working professionals.

Ball State University (http://cms.bsu.edu/). The Department of Journalism offers a Graduate Certificate in Emerging Media and Visual Reporting consisting of five courses, including, for instance, visual reporting, viagra sans ordonnance, visual storytelling and social and cross-media storytelling (http://cms.bsu.edu/academics/collegesanddepartments/journalism/graduateprograms/emerging-media-certificate).

Columbia University has a Data Specialization Certificate Programme (http://www.journalism.columbia.edu/page/1077-specialization-in-data/936) in between a bachelor’s and master’s degree.
